Getting Passionate...

This weekend, when Ben and his family came round for dinner, I was put in charge of dessert. When Mum told me I should make a semifreddo my first reaction was "what in the world is a semifreddo?" Turns out Mum's do know best and after a bit of googling, I've found my new favourite dessert. A semifreddo is pretty much like homemade ice cream. It was simple to make, quick to assemble and super tasty. I followed this recipe and felt stupidly proud that it came out as well as it did!
Have you made anything similar? Let me know any recipes you think I should try out!

Nails, Nails, Nails...

For the past few months, I've fallen out of love with my nails. It was partly due to the state acrylics had left them in (note to self: make that the one and only time you ever think falsies are a good idea) and the fact that I was so uninspired by my nail varnish collection. As mentioned in my The Nearly White Nail... post I've recently fallen in love with the L'Oréal Paris Color Riche Les Blancs range and it's getting me out of my nail funk! Yesterday I decided to jazz up my current go to pastel nail by using my nail art wheel from Topshop.

I love nail art so when my Auntie got my this handy little wheel, I knew it was going to be well loved. Considering how easy this was to do - it took me about five minutes to apply the little gems - I don't know why I've not embraced 3D nail art before! I think this is the perfect way to add that little something extra to your everyday go-to design.

Do you have any quick and easy nail art designs you think I should try out?

The Breakfast Post | #1...

As a Bank Holiday treat, Ben and I put on our walking shoes and took a stroll around London. I had my heart set on pancakes for brunch and if that's not an excuse to try out The Breakfast Club for the first time then I don't know what is?! We decided to go to the Spitalfields branch as our stomachs were calling out to be fed and it was only 5 minutes from where we were. Luckily there was only a short queue when we arrived and we were seated pretty quickly.

Oh my! I'd heard good things about the food at The Breakfast Club but there are no words to describe how satisfying those pancakes were! Thick, creamy, fruity goodness all washed down with a caramel latte. Y.U.M. There were so many delicious sounding things on the menu that if I hadn't had a craving for pancakes I don't know how I would have picked! I'm going to be bold here and say they were the best pancakes I've ever had - they are well worth queuing for and I am definitely going to treat myself to them again!

I've decided to make this the start of a new series, "The Breakfast Post" will appear once a month here on As A Blonde and it'll predominantly be about London based restaurants. (I'm pretty much using it as an excuse to try as many yummy dishes as possible!)

I'd love to hear any recommendations you have for a great breakfast in the London area?
