Christmas Snow...

Last week the family and I headed off in search of some Christmas snow, if you follow my Instagram, you may have seen our family selfie! We spent three jam-packed days skiing in St Anton, staying in a beautiful chalet just outside the main town. It was the prefect excuse to get the GoPro and the selfie stick back out! For me, there's nothing better than a snowy mountain so it was the perfect start to the Christmas week. All the photos are from the GoPro or my iPhone via the ProCam 2 app (it's incredible and was only £1.49!).

Feeling Festive...

Now that we are over half way into December, I am really starting to feel festive! Customising present tags and getting the glitter nail varnish out has all well and truly got me in the spirit. I love adding personal touches to gifts, especially at Christmas, and this year I decided a trip to Hobbycraft was in order! After spending way too much time wandering up and down the Christmas aisles, I decided to go with DIY present tags...

I never need an excuse for glittery nails but Christmas is definitely the time to go all out! Recently I have been reaching for the same combo of Essie Midnight Cami and Ciate Party Shoes from last year's Ciate Advent Calendar.

With 4 days to go, what's getting you in the festive mood?

Winter Wonderland...

On Saturday, Ben and I headed out in the glorious sunshine for a spot to ice skating at Winter Wonderland. We've somehow ended up going to Hyde Park every winter for the last 3 years, it's becoming a tradition! I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to getting on the ice but it was a brilliant day even if the rink was packed. We spent the rest of the evening in the Bavarian Bar, eating bratwursts and whirling around on the waltzer. I'd recommend going to Winter Wonderland as it definitely gets you in a festive mood, but just be prepared for the hundreds of people that will also be heading there!

The Breakfast Post | #8...

For this month’s Breakfast Post, we decided to keep it local once again and head into Greenwich. Having walked past the Rivington every time we go to Greenwich Picture House, I’ve always had an inclining to try it out and what better reason than for a new post? We tried to book a table online through their website but it came up with a message saying it was fully booked and perhaps we’d like to try their sister restaurant in Shoreditch. We decided to chance it and got to the restaurant for when it opened at 10am and were in luck!

I went for the small portion of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with a side of granola, whilst Ben opted for the full English. I really liked the fact that quite a few of the breakfast options had a smaller and larger portion - it's great for people like me who can't decide what to have! The menu isn’t fancy, it's got a home cooked feel about it and is all sourced from around the British Isles. Located just a few minutes walk from Greenwich Market and Greenwich Park, this is a perfect place to grab a delicious bite to eat.

Four Years...

This Saturday marked mine and Ben's 4 year anniversary - I can't believe it's been that many years, the time seems to have flown by! Being the ever sneaky (and brilliant) boyfriend that he is, Ben surprised me on Friday night by turning up with a suitcase and the news that we'd being heading out the door on Saturday morning at 7am for a cheeky road trip. Up bright and early we set off in the direction of the M25 with me none-the-wiser, it wasn't until he set up the Sat Nav and I spied that the exit we were taking was for Bristol that I had any idea of where we were going. Ben visited Bristol with work last year and told me how much I'd love it and he wasn't wrong! We stayed just outside the main city in Clifton, in a hotel over looking the Suspension Bridge. We spent the day wandering up and down the hilly lanes of the village before heading past the beautiful Cathedral into main Bristol for a bit of shopping.

In the evening we had an incredible meal at The Cowshed before heading to Hyde and Co a prohibition bar that has to be one of the coolest places I've been to. Wandering up the road it's on, we actually walked right past it and only realised where it was when we saw some people disappear inside a black door! We somewhat dubiously headed towards where the people had been standing and were presented with a sign that told us to ring the bell and be patient. After a few seconds, the door cracked open slightly and inside where there was the main bar with several snuggly, eclectic rooms off to the sides full of small tables, stalls and comfy chairs. We then spent the rest of the evening sipping on their amazing cocktails!

On Sunday, we were up early again so that we could head to Bath's Christmas Market. We've been to Bath before and I absolutely love the city so was especially excited to see it in all it's Christmas glory! After spending 6 solid hours amongst all the Christmas stalls, it's safe to say that I am well and truly ready for the 25th December.

There was so many great things on all the stalls but I think these cute reindeer were my favourite! I couldn't have asked for a better anniversary weekend, I think he's a keeper!
