The Breakfast Post |#13...

This month, I left the choice of where to go for breakfast down to Ben and typically he picked somewhere I would never have thought of going! Kipferl is an Austrian coffeehouse and kitchen in Islington that serves homemade Austrian cakes and coffee specialities as well as breakfast and mains. Ben and I both ended up going for a dish called Bauernfruehstueck - stir fried potatoes, onions, bacon and egg. The 'French Toast "Kipferl" Style' also sounded amazing but today was definitely an all the carbs kind of day!
The dish was somewhere between an omelette and scrambled egg, and was the perfect Bank Holiday breakfast. Kipferl is definitely worth a visit for its coffee too - I'd recommend the Melange which was like a Cappuccino but with more milk. If you're in the Islington area, drop into Kipferl - I mean, what's not to love about a place that gives you a cube of Milka with your coffee?

    Yum, that looks so delicious. Haven't had anything like that before but I'd definitely try it. Also, the plates are so cool! haha xxx

      That's the first thing I thought when the plates came out! I would never have thought to go there but glad I've found somewhere new to go back to :)
